COFFEE?
COCO FARMANI
COFFEE? The Story Behind the Song Some songs find you when you're alone with your thoughts and a feeling too big to ignore. Coco Farmani wrote Coffee in the Morning on the road, a late night in a hotel room somewhere between auditions, somewhere between who she was and who she was becoming. It was 9:11 PM. By 10:10PM AM the song was recorded using a shoe box and my small Shure 57 mic.
The song is an ache and an invitation. A late-night fantasy about slow mornings, deep connection, and a love unhurried by the world outside. Equal parts sensual and cinematic, Coffee moves like soul music with country bones — warm, honest, and completely unguarded. "I'm an actress but I'm not performing," she sings. And for once, that was true. Coffee in the Morning is from the upcoming Web of Love soundtrack — a collection of songs born from the same universe as her audio drama series.
